This fun tradition brings us together to celebrate the changing seasons. Clear Lake Water Department Superintendent Adam Theiss has the official responsibility of declaring both “Ice-In” (when the lake fully freezes) and “Ice Out” (once the lake is entirely free of ice with no large chunks remaining).
