Help Fundraise for Clear Lake’s Everybody Plays Outdoor Playground!

A portion of the proceeds from the 5K/10K will go to the Everybody Plays Outdoor Playground:

All children deserve a safe and fun place to play together.

That is the mission of a local fundraising initiative to create an inclusive playground in Clear Lake. It will give North Iowa children and parents of all abilities and ages the accessibility to play together.

More than just wheelchair accessible, inclusive playgrounds provide safe open spaces, with specialized play equipment. The City of Clear Lake is donating the land for the playground and the money raised for “Everybody Plays Inclusive Playground” will be 100% from donations, fundraising, and grants. It will be located on land donated by the city on 12th Avenue South within the 30-acre Outlet Recreation Complex.  This area has a nine-hole disc golf course, a dog park, paved trail and soccer fields.

To date, approximately $100,000 has been raised toward a $250,000 goal.

Others wishing to donate to this fundraiser can write a check to Share Life (the non-profit organization), write Everybody Plays in the memo and send it to the Clear Lake Bank and Trust, 322 Main Ave., Clear Lake  IA    50428
